An Intro and Some Magic

Ok, first things first. I am not a dedicated blogger, so my posts won't be very consistent. However, the things I hear children say at my work can be just too classic to not share. I've been working at The Children's Place for almost a year now, and I've decided to post a few of the stories I come home with. I will give you fair warning: some days are better than others so some posts will seem super funny and upbeat and others will be grumpy. It all depends on the crowd that walks through our doors.

So people don't hate me from the start, my first story will be a little more upbeat. We recently got about 14 boxes of flip flops (oh those never ending flip flops). In order to get a head start of getting rid of them, we decided to put them out on the floor before the floor set was due to corporate. I brought out a box of baby girl shoes to the floor, and began to un-package them. A little girl came over to me and stared as I would unwrap and hang the shoes onto pegs. She finally spoke up and asked, "How are you even doing that?" She pointed to the torn packaging, and looked so confused. I told her it was magic, and if she tried I bet she was magic too. She carefully took the next pair, pulled hard, and the plastic tore open. Surprised, her eyes got HUGE, and she booked it across the store yelling, "MOM MOM I'M MAGIC! I'm MAGIC!"

Oh kids....

Oh retail.
